I've been working on my sig (not fully complete yet). The thing is, each time I came out of the editing to see what it looked like, I saved the edit. Now, on my Contributions page, I have around 40 new edits made. :|
This was a mistake as I completely forgo it would count as contributions to the wiki. From now on I am using the preview button to see what my sig, and other wiki pages look like instead of saving and having a look from there.
If possible (I don't know if it is) deduct 40 or more edits from my contributions. I'm sorry and it won't happen agan.
Sorry to interject: I know its your show, Tech, but I was about and have an answer to that. Essentially, HackingDog, you can't remove the contribs unless you have an admin delete the page and then remake it: this would get rid of the contributions and only result in one edit in your Special:Contributions/TheHackingDog. Also a shameless test of my new sig, as specified in my perferances. Here goes:
Just wanted to let you know that I just finished a big project using my bot. I used it to process about 7500 for spelling errors and unicodify things, a manual process. About 10% of the pages were edited, but I can't guarantee AWB didn't miss some spelling errors.
Hey, I know you have heard this from me so many times. But I do truly mean it. I'm SO sorry for what I have done in the past. I am very sad at the moment and really miss the company of Halo Nation's chat. Yes, I do miss you also. I miss everyone. I know we have had a troubled past due to my stupid and idiotic behavior. But, I hope one day, we can talk again and try to sort something out. If not, it's my fault and I will have to learn to deal with that. But, I have changed a lot since leaving Halo Nation chat and I hope to put that into good practises when I return. But, for now, all I ask is that you believe and forgive this apology. For it's the truth.
Sounds awesome, man. Hit me up if you need any help uploading stuff. I'm really excited about this game and try to keep up with anything on it. Stay cool. 20px"Semper Invictus" 23:24, June 12, 2013 (UTC)
Cabouse09 has done some vandalism to the SPARTAN-II Program page.
Also, its July! Please update the HNOTM message and add the July portion for it. Sorry if this bugs you, but I don't know how to or if even if I have the authority to create a new page for the July/ HNOTM. Thank you :D.
This user is writing incorrect versions and is not seeing it through. Please send him/her a message or something to please stop reverting it to his original statement.
And BTW, thanks for that congratulations. :)
Greetings, on my old account User:ShadowLurker343, someone has left a message about events on another Wiki. I basically had to deal with the user for calling someone else a spaz. My memory of the event is quite poor as it was a while ago. However, the user has left me a message on my talkpage about how I apparently over-reacted" when as a matter of fact, I was following the policy that the admins/chat mods have to enforce.
I'm sorry that Rider Jones said that. I've already told him he had no reason to say this place was nothing but "A$*holes". So, I just wanted to say sorry about that. Gamer68 (talk) 02:14, July 27, 2013 (UTC)
I would like to say that I'm so sorry for the trouble I caused. While I meant some of the words that I wrote about the wiki, it's just that I was angry. I said hello; nobody responded, I tried to make a decent topic to discuss about; no response. Some of that stuff can push a guy to think darkly, me included. But, like I said, I'm sorry and I hope that I will be able to make things right when my bann ends. RiderJones (talk) 02:30, July 27, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the heads-up... and for not being an ass about it. This is the kind of thing that happens when I'm editing when I should be sleeping. Just one question, though: what the hell is the Eralcon system? DefiantHeretic13 (talk) 18:07, August 11, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, and how do I get a fancy nameplate to pop up when I put in my 4 little ~ marks? DefiantHeretic13 (talk) 18:08, August 11, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the tip on the signature. As for the rest, I recently tried to get back into working on Wookieepedia, but since I'm using a different e-mail address, every admin thought that I was vandalizing my former userpage. No matter how blatantly I stated that I was the same person, they'd undo my edits and send me some pompous, scare-the-n00b message which did nothing but prove that they weren't paying any attention to anything I said. What really sucked was finding out that the admins I remembered were no longer running the site, as they would at least have remembered me. DefiantHeretic13 (talk) 20:13, August 11, 2013 (UTC)
I tried the special contact route, but just got more frustration. Screw 'em; I like this wiki better, anyway. DefiantHeretic13 (talk) 20:33, August 11, 2013 (UTC)
Hey, just to head off any trouble at the pass, I wanted to address the fact that I do tend to make a lot of small edits. I'm being more careful about the categorization, just adding basic ones to make posts about similar items like weapons or vehicles as uniform as possible, and I tend to correct grammar and spelling mistakes when I see them. I just wanted to make sure that you know that I do it because making this site look as good as possible is important to me, and not because I'm trying to ring up Achievements; I'd honestly be doing the same thing even if there wasn't an Achievement system, and I try to mark my minor edits as such, though that doesn't appear to affect whether or not you click on the Minor edit box. DefiantHeretic13 (talk) 22:21, August 11, 2013 (UTC)
The only problem I have with leaving something under Covenant Species, rather than just Covenant, is that the site doesn't want to consider them Covenant articles, ditto for UNSC Navy vs. UNSC. It just seemed somehow wrong that an article about a UNSC Navy rank, for example, wasn't considered a UNSC article. Feel free to revert anything you need to; I noticed while I was categorizing things the last couple of days that some articles had more words under categories than were contained in the entire article. I would've knocked off a few of them myself, except that I don't know an easy way to do so other than tracking down the change on the page's history. DefiantHeretic13 (talk) 00:15, August 13, 2013 (UTC)
OK, thanks for letting me know. I'll try to help with the clean-up when I get a chance. DefiantHeretic13 (talk) 07:13, August 13, 2013 (UTC)
My name’s Matt and I’m a community development associate for Wikia. I’m in charge of a monthly feature called “Guided Tours” where I interview experts on a given topic, asking questions about how they got into their area of expertise and how they recommend others do the same. Our next feature is going to be Space Opera -- and Halo definitely fits the bill!
Hello, T3CHNOCIDE. Yes, I did need help; but it is by a long shot that you'd know how to do this. I was wondering how to add an image to the chat dialogue box, under the "Live! Chat" button. Would you possibly know how to do that? —This unsigned comment is made by Iopl3887 (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~!
Well, recently, I undid an vandal. 184.108.40.206 to be precise but that not what I'm here for. As you can tell Career Milestones has alot of edits recently. Me and Anthony883 contently edited this. I am tired of it. Karl has made his point and edit it himself. Me and Anthony agreed to stop. Anthony edit one more time and i agreed with what he has done but he missed one crustal part. The ERA template. I enter back the era and then he said this:
Stop editing this page. If you believe that you have an image with a level 100 career milestone ranking then show me it. I am documenting my accomplishment. Now fuck off and stop deleting my date.
Please, lock Career Milestones or tell both of us to not ever edit the page. I really hate edit wars but he is determined to "documenting my accomplishment."
Hope this can all end, Haloprov (talk) 12:58, September 1, 2013 (UTC)
Okay so I wanna know, Is it possible to make a typing bar on a page where if you type in a certain code an image shows on your page (e.g.User:T3CHNOCIDE/My Codes) So like for example the code for "Lololol.jpg" is 3333-3333-3333 and a user types that in, the image (Lololol.jpg) shows on the /My Codes page. I want to make it so you can type in multiple codes. Please message me w:c:carstoys:Message_Wall:Iopl3887.
Well, bullet point aberrations aren't completely fixed. Articles with the Battle and War infobox templates, such as Battle of Algolis and Human-Flood war (uses the War template but isn't using bullet points) respectively, still have bullet point aberrations. There is apparently another warfare infobox template, Infobox Military Conflict, which is used on some of the more recent war articles that has bullet point support, but the sides, commanders, forces, and causalities sections don't have columns for each participant, the entire template is only one column, unlike the older Battle and War templates. This is why I tried update the Battle and War templates using the same format as the Weapon and Vehicle Infobox templates, but I don't think that format was built with multiple columns in mind. I am indeed from the United States so don't worry. I usually end up making it clear I am from the Midwest, but I don't usually end up having much contact with others on wikis. Zeta1127 of the 89th Legion (talk) 19:06, October 13, 2013 (UTC)
Hi there! I have noticed that my edits are not appearing in the recent changes. (The section to the right of every mainspace page) but are appearing in Wiki Activity. I was wondering if something has gone wrong or if something has changed since I came here last.
I know it's not but before I was here, every edit I made in the mainspace appeared there. So I was just checking in to see. ShadowLurker343 03:28, November 4, 2013 (UTC)
You may have clicked the "Hide my edits" option, that would explain why your edits aren't showing up. If that's the case, just click the "Show my edits" option.--Şράѓṭάçŭš0898•Ṭάḹќ 03:35, November 4, 2013 (UTC)
Well, I just undone an edit which Karl btw, you might wanna check out. It appeared that time. Thanks anyway, Sparty. ShadowLurker343 03:37, November 4, 2013 (UTC)
With the next generation of consoles all set to launch in a couple of weeks, Wikia thought it would be the perfect time for some of our most active community members to take a fond look back at the current generation. We’d love if you’d provide us with a piece — however long you see fit — wherein you reminisce about a topic of your choosing related to the current generation. We are going to present what you write in an upcoming feature called “Reflections.”
For example, you could write about your memories of playing Halo over the course of the console cycle, providing us with anecdotes that illustrate why the series has resonated with so many people. You could write about Bungie handing the baton over to 343, and how that made you feel as a fan. You could also write more generally about how first person shooters evolved with this most recent generation, and what those changes meant to you as a gamer.
We’re going to be looking to the future, as well, with a similar feature titled “Horizons.” If you could also let us know, in as many words as you like, what trends you’d like to accompany the next generation of games (and what you DON’T want to see) we’d really appreciate it.
Let me know what you think or if you have any questions.
Hello there! I just noticed on the Main page, there is a link to the main page. Just seems a bit useless :P. It's the Halouniverse part. If I may add a suggestion, perhaps a link about the Halo franchise would be better?
