Player types
I am IPockets I was wondering why the aricle I created entitled "Player types" is continually deleted. I do not see what is wrong with it and thought I should publish a list of the kinds of halo players nd how to efeat them. (ex. snipers and vehicle pilots. My article is below and has been labeled as spam once before for reasons I do not know.
There are many types of players or names that one player will call another. Noobs or New players- Most common name you hear, a noob is simply a new player or a player with little or no skill. Usually can only score kills with heavy or "noobish" weapons. Not much of a threat unlss he have a better weapon than you.
Rocket Noobs- Players with a decent amount of skill but choose to use noobish weapons(like rockets) to score kills. Often in first place on the postgame carnage report, these players are DANGEROUS.
Vehicle Pilots: Obviously, players who pilot vehicles when available. Not nessacerally noobs, as they will be the victor in most vehicle wars(ie: bansee dogfights or tank battles). These players are not very common. The only way to beat them iis to wait for them to make a mistake and hijack or destroy their vehicle.
Shee Noobs: players who get kills in a banshee. Very annoying as they will fly around your base and spawn kill you. Dangerous, but often loose in vehicle wars.
Spawn killers: These players are the ones that wait at a spawn point and lay a mine at your feet or kill you with a rocket before you realize that you are under attack. Often when players yell "f**king spawn killer" or "D-bag", there is a spwnkiller somewhere on the map.
Carbine Snipers or no-scopers: players with a tremendous amount of aiming skill that can use the sniper riifle in a simular way you would use the carbine or using the sniper rifle as a close range weapon. Often the most experienced players on the map, they tend to stick to the sniper rifle and thankfully no other weapons otherwise they would be unstoppable.
Average players: Players who are no longer noobs but are not experienced either. If you are skilled, an easy kill, if not, you're done.
Screw offs: Not in a bad way, screw offs are just players that are there to have fun.
Serious players: People who take the game too seriously and are often profane to anyone who does something they do not like. Do not be afraid to boot them.
Snipers: Get in a shee, go to a high place, pull out your sniper rifle and you are a sniper. Do not stand still when you know there is a sniper on the map unless you are sure he is dead. Often, snipers will get several kills before everyone realizes where they are. If you are discovered, find a different spot and never return to that one until no activity is seen there. Sorry about that, when I try to create a page, the background to type in the text is very dark, which does not work well with the black font. My problem
Upon looking at the top of the screen, I can see that the background for typing test is the same as the background of this website, the gray landscape with the smoke and stuff. Not sure if this helps or not.

Halo mods wiki
I would like to propose that the http://halomods.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page be "merged" with this wiki. I know there's that whole thing about fanon created stuff but halo mods are non-canon user-made stuff. There's only twelve articles and PanSola brought up an interesting point about how to categorize stuff. Since this wiki is only dealing with halo, the only way to categorize would be to go by game title, but then there's only about a half dozen titles. Now, if i'm violating privacy again...have RR ban me for a day or so...but PanSola asked me to see if your community has a census on inviting halo modding to join and then exporting the pages and importing them into halopedia. Of course, that would mean that the wiki would be destroyed and the guy who made it would probably not be an admin here. I'll give this same message to RR and manticore and see what they think of it. Formal Complaint
I am extremely unsatisfied with the attempts which the admin have been putting in the last month or so. New users are registering every day just to insult the site and its users. Not enough is being done to prevent swearing also, as you can find loads of offensive language in lots of threads. If I were a new user, I would think that this site is a place where people insult each other and frequently use offensive language. If nothing is done about this problem, I will consequently not be using these forums again... ever.

- For the usergroups, you just sign your name under the list of the lowest rank, I believe. For the pictures, most of it is from Halo 3's Saved Film feature. Deletion
Finding a significant portion of my user page deleted wasn't exactly a pleasent surprise, considering that not only is one user editing another user's talk page generally considered taboo unless there's offensive material and/or spam present (at least from experience) but also that there was nothing that truely prompted deletion IMO. Still, in the interests of preventing an edit war (one which I'd lose), keeping civil and not losing my account, I'd like to inquire as to why the timeline was deleted. From the outset, I'd like to establish a few facts;
-In truth, I would have preferred to have the timeline on a User: Hawki/Timeline page in order to save space; similar to storing talk archives. This was deleted at some point, leaving only the main user page. Surprising, as I've been able to do it here and here (my sysop status may help with the former ^_^). It's the best way for reference and direction and creating a fanon timeline page is out of the question (trust me, I've no intention of filling this wiki with fanon and/or spam) and the Halo Fanon Wiki is too out of way for reference).
-The reason for a timeline is to provide easier reference than the site's timeline does not provide easy reference, with each year its own article not making matters easy. Also, there are some dates in the Halo universe that are not displayed as no absolute dates exist. It's understandable, though in a personal timeline, no such problem exists (eg. through simple maths, one can work out the approximate date that Keyes graduates from OCS).
-Fanon dates do indeed exist in the timeline, but are all distinctly marked and do not lead to any page within this wiki unless it's something like me giving a Spartan a number which isn't provided in the canon storyline, in which case it would be a [[|]] link rather than a redirect page. As stated, I have no intention of creating fanon for the sake of it.
-Red links are/were meant to link to canon pages, but didn't either due to spelling errors or because these pages don't exist yet. Under the assumption that a user page was generally immune from outside editing in principle, I thought I had time. Perhaps not.
Anyway, that's my case made as such. If there is indeed a policy specific to this wiki that prevents this activity, I won't challange it. I have no intention to start a flame/edit war and/or challange the authority of the administrators. Still, if clarification could be given as to any policy behind this deletion, I'd appreciate it. Oh, and merry Christmas.

Dear Guesty-Persony-Thingy,
Was just bring to your attention the Fan Art Committee (FAC). I was speaking to users @ the IRC, and I was critiquing a particular article when I noticed the main image was fan art. I asked why they'd placed it there and the response was it was approved by the FAC.
Sir, with respect -- I think no fan material in any form should be permitted on Halopedia. Halopedia is a place for canonical material, not for fan material. I ask if the FAC may be disbanded and fan art be immediately removed.

Reporting Vandalism
For some unknown reason, half of my Multiplayer weapon lethality index has been (the human one) deleted in the last two days. No evidence as to why. the Covenant Weaponry Lethality Index is still up but the HALO Human Weaponry Lethality Index is not. If this is vandalism, I will remake the indexes, if not, why have they been deleted. (am awaiting a response before taking action)

Ugh, i suck with userboxes.
So, yet AGAIN, i am requesting your help in this matter. I have some Userboxes i want to make, but mo matter what i do, their picture never comes out right! It's either Not there, or appears as a black rectangle.
I would take any help you can give. YES, i know i am just a hapless, dosen't-know-crap-about-HTML/BBCode/Whatever. Who better to reverse this?

I only wanted to merge the relevant info and you did that. The two pages shouldn't be merged into one because they are two different things.

I need your help on some redirects...
Hey GPT. Recently, I've moved some pages around, and I wanna clean up after those movings. You see, I sometimes have problems with the names, and these are the redirects caused by the moves that I want to delete. Don't worry, I've cleared up all the links:
- Attack-VTOL 14 Hornet
- Dropship-77 Troop-Carrier Pelican
- Heavy Machine Gun 38
-These redirects are same as the current ones, except dash changes, so it will still show up in search.
- M6D HE Magnum Sidearm
- M6D-HE Personal Defense Weapon System
-These two redirects don't really serve a use, because they were created when we had problems with the M6D naming. Nobody would type such long stuff in the search box, so they serve no use.

I would much prefer it, if you plan to ban me, have some kind of concrete evidence. After spending all night being AFK on IRC, and playing in Halopedia Warz during that time, i log on earlier today to find myself banned. After requesting some wikia staff to unban me, i get back on and find that, apparently, during my long AFK period, as which Simon and JWR can testify was spent playing on Halo 3, i called somebody a retard. I am most curious as to how i could reach about 13 meters from my bed room to my PC room and do this. Trouble with the merger of Lethality Index's and Kill Shots pages
When you restored the HALO Human Weapon Lethality Index and the Covenant Weaponry Lethality Index so that I could finish merging them into the Kill Shots page you didn't restore the following pages: HALO:CE Human Weapon Lethality Guide and Halo:CE Covenant Weapon Lethality Guide. They had almost all their test data complete and I could merge those with the Kill Shots page in the next few days if you'd put them back up.
The HALO 2 Human Weapon Lethality Guide and the Halo 2 Covenant Weapon Lethality Guide were almost completely merged with Kill Shots (the data charts were put in, but not the data itself) but I still have a bit of work to do. Also, all the test data for the Halo 2 Human Weapons was on the Lethality Guide so could you restore that page so I may retrieve the data.
The Lethality Guides for Halo 3 are still in their most basic stages (the chart format used hasn't even been finalized, I have 2 different proposed layouts that are currently on the Kill Shots page. I will keep only one). That combined with the start of the Spring Semester at college means it'll be a while before the Halo 3 Covenant Weapon Lethality Guide and Halo 3 Human Weapon Lethality Guide are completely merged into Kill Shots

Hey, I discovered some redirects that were used when we didn't know the names of the permutations, but now they're useless, and I think they should be deleted:
