Welcome to Halopedia, Bllasae! I'm Guesty-Persony-Thingy, but you can just call me Guesty, or, more commonly, GPT. I am an administrator here at Halopedia, and I know a lot about Halo and editing wikis, so if you EVER need ANY help with ANYTHING, just talk to me here. Again, welcome to Halopedia, and I hope you enjoy your stay here! =D --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 05:08, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Administrator position

Halopedia:Administrators should answer your question. By the way, Dragonclaws is mostly inactive; Manticore, Relentless, and I are the most active admins these days. If you want to talk further, click "Live chat at #halopedia" in the toolbox below the Sidebar. --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 01:43, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Hey, your bot is adding reference tags to articles with template:ref. --Dragonclaws(talk) 01:43, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

I'm saying you should reprogram it so that it can recognize articles that have the template and not add another references list. If you can't do that (I don't know bots), maybe try having it replace the template with a manual list. --Dragonclaws(talk) 01:48, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

It's adding {{Ref}} to pages that don't have {{Ref}} on it... unfortunately, not all the articles use the template; some use the entire syntax as well. Before you set your bot up to do this, run a script to make it replace this:

== Sources ==

AND this:

== References ==

AND this:

== References ==

<div class="references-small"><references/></div>

with this:

THEN you can run the script you just ran, if it didn't finish already. Also, please run the bot under a separate account so we can stop it without stopping you from editing; I suggest BllasaeBot, or something similar. --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 01:56, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Moar instructions are on your bot's talk page. --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 02:17, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
But you ran the script once, it messed up a bunch of pages... then nothing was running anymore, and you can then proceed to run whatever script you want. Stuff. Merry X-Mas! --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 04:31, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

I have just finished fixing the mess you made with your bot. Do not run that script again. Ever. -- Manticore (talk) 12:56, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

I can only sticky threads in the new forums... if that's what you meant. Sure, go ahead. Guesty-Persony-Thingy 04:26, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Forum / Bot

I've poked the techs about the forum. I've got no idea about the bot, but don't use this wiki as your testing ground like you did last time. Use w:c:communitytest instead please. -- Manticore (talk) 11:52, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

What are you using to run this? -- Manticore (talk) 04:34, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

You're still running an unapproved bot under your primary account. -- Manticore (talk) 16:31, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Apparently you don't seem to get it, so I'll spell it out for you. Don't run a bot under this account. Don't run a bot, period, until you seek community permission to do so. -- Manticore (talk) 11:28, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

I've noticed that you seem to be adding a lot of stub templates to short articles. Please note that just because an article is short does not mean it is a stub. Some articles just can't say very much about their subject until Bungie releases more information. --Dragonclaws(talk) 21:15, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Erm... I was removing a link to a fanfic article so it would be removed from Wanted PagesForerunner 17:24, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

If you had checked my responce to Manticore you would have seen that I removed those tags from the talks because they were already on the userpages. Now... I don't see what you're thinking of in accusations. I am just editing things that need editing.
BTW-Why did you change the warnings from 1 to 3rd warning if you only warned me once and just edited it. If you are refering to an earlier ban then that those 2 extra warnings are illegal (something to do with Double Jepardy) in the real world.
ps. What do you mean by "sockpuppet"? Forerunner 23:42, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
I know what the term means, i meant by what information of yours suggests I am a sockpuppet.Forerunner 17:00, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Hello I am pretty sure we have never talked before so I am PATX. I have been at Halopedia for about a month now and have started to want to run a bot. I already have it running on Mercs Wiki. But I can not figure out how to make a family for Halopedia. I was wondering if you could e-mail me your Halopedia bot family and the thing (that is if you are using the pywikipedia framework to run your bot). If you could just e-mail those to or even post them on my talk page. -- PATX
