As a continuation of this informal series of my thoughts on various aspects of the gameplay of Halo, I thought it was time for me to give my thoughts on equipment and armor abilities of Halo.
Well, there isn't exactly an obvious entry point into equipment and armor abilities with the UNSC like there was with weapons, since UNSC equipment didn't really appear until Halo 3. I like the idea of equipment, but I think armor abilities are even better, especially if they would have been made battlefield pickups like equipment. I often have a tendency to stubbornly not use and/or forget about equipment and armor abilities, instead relying on guns and to a lesser extent grenades.
The Trip Mine is a decent little piece of equipment. The Regenerator is …

As of late, I have become very long winded when it comes to my thoughts on weapons, and other things like armor abilities, when I comment on the forums and/or blogs. So it seems like the prefect time to give my thoughts on all of the weapons of Halo I have used over the years.
What better way to start a discussion of Halo weapons than the first weapon used by John-117 in Halo, the M6 series PDWS, otherwise known as the Magnum. With the various incarnations of the Magnum, it really depends on whether or not it has a scope. Unless I am dual wielding, ideally with the Plasma Pistol, and even then I still have a hard time getting headshots, I haven't had much use for the Halo 3 M6G, and I am sure the same will hold true for the Halo 2 M6C. For some…

As with my previous blogs, I have again been inspired to share my thoughts on Halo, this time concerning what people actually liked about Halo 4. It is well known that many Halo fans have reacted negatively to Halo 4, but rarely does anyone share what they actually liked about Halo 4. This has led me to believe that many Halo fans have put Bungie and what they did with Halo on a pedestal, which led to 343 Industries and Halo 4 being less than warmly received by many Halo fans. This almost certainly guaranteed that there was almost nothing 343i could have done to live up to the expectations placed on them and the franchise.
I have mentioned many things I like about Halo 4 in the past, and I am going to restate much of what I have said before. Halo 4…Read more >
As with my previous blog, I have again been inspired to share my thoughts on Halo, this time on my favorite Halo game, which I already touched on in my previous blog as being a tie between Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4. I can't help but point out that the comments on the other blog have left me thinking, I don't get this, I don't get this at all. What is it with everyone and their love for Halo: Reach? Which is why I am sharing my thoughts on all of the Halo games, even Halo 2 and Halo: Spartan Assault, which I haven't played.
Halo 3 is a legendary game, and I have unfortunately only really had the pleasure of playing the campaign and some extremely limited multiplayer, which is a common theme of my Halo experience. As I mentioned in my previou…Read more >
This is my first Wiki blog post, and I was inspired to do it by a recent blog about how others got into Halo, but I didn't feel like clogging up the comments for that blog with what this ultimately became. The story of how I became a Halo fan, and my current status as a Halo fan, goes almost as far back as Halo has existed, but I wasn't a fan from the beginning.
My first memory of Halo was my brother and I playing multiplayer in Halo: Combat Evolved on Blood Gulch with our cousin, I don't even remember how many years ago, though I didn't think very much of this event at the time. The only reasons I know it wasn't Coagulation from Halo 2 are I believe the Assault Rifle was present, we also played Need for Speed: Underground, and my brother and I …Read more >
