This is certainly not Halo related, but I felt it appropriate to make a tribute for those who fight and, in some cases, die, for our freedom and safety.

Earlier today, it was confirmed by the British Ministry of Defence that three more British soldiers have died in Helmand Province in Afghanistan. This brings the total of British dead in the War in Afghanistan up to one hundred and ninety-nine, bringing us very close to the ghastly marker of two hundred.

I hope you do choose to make your own tribute to the men and women who've died, but this is intended as a remembrance, and I do not wish to hear your own opinions on the War on Terror, the conflict in Afghanistan, or the quality of our forces deployed there.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them."
