Introduction

As many of you are probably aware after publishing the first and last Intersystem News article I was struck by a chronic case of no internet (Imaginative name, I know!) and was rendered incapable of maintaining our community activities. But! I'm back (Yay!), allowing for me to work on the wiki once more, which also means the Intersystem News! (*cough* notice the new theme? *cough*)</div>

New Theme

With the release of Halo 4 on our doorstep (27 days!) and our need to work on our slightly cluttered up main-page, we have a new theme ready, and it's going to be installed today! So keep your eye out for a new main-page layout, and a new colour scheme, because the admins will be busy today fixing everything up!

If you want to have a little preview of what's in store feel free to take a look at our beta release over at the announcement blog. Whilst the instalation will take place today, items such as the game portals will not be availible until later in the week due to a lazy admin (I promise it's not me!), so watch out for any updates on the matter on this article.

Presidential Debates

The presidential elections for the USA is coming up in November, and with that comes the presidential campaigns. This years presidential candidates, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, will go head to head in presidential debates sure to test each others knowledge and policies. So, what does this have to do with Halo Nation, Halo news, or Halo in general? Free Halo stuff, that's what!

So if it's a love for politics, or just that you want free armour, these debates are unmissable! Any Xbox fan who streams at least three of the four debates on their Xbox, through Xbox live, will receive a set of gold MJOLNIR GEN2 armour that can be worn by your Xbox live avatar!</td></tr></table>

So make sure that you tune in and watch the three remaining presidential/vice-presidential debates on Xbox Live to receive your snazzy gold armour; proving you're a vivid Halo fan with great intellect. The remaining debates will be available on these dates, so make sure you add them to the calendar!
  • October 11 (9 p.m. EDT)
  • October 16 (9 p.m. EDT)
  • October 22 (9 p.m. EDT)
All of this can be streamed live through Xbox Live's Election 2012 Hub available for all American users only.

Halo 4 Music Competition

Samsung is hosting a music competition powered by Soundcloud for Halo fans everywhere. If you consider yourself musically talented, or just want to have some fun, then head on over to the Halo 4 remix website, where participants will be able to download several soundtracks featuring in the upcoming Halo 4 game to mess with on Stems, a free music editing software hosted by Soundcloud, and create their remixes! Participants with the best remixes will earn exclusive Halo 4 prizes! What's to lose?

Halo National of the Month

Despite being slightly later than originally planned, last months nominations were placed to the vote, and the winner was officially announced (Yay me), marking the success of our first Halo National of the Month award! So thank you to everyone who participated in the nominations and voting processes, it couldn't have been done without you all!

BUT, that doesn't mark the end of it, oh no, we have Octobers nominations to be made, voted for, and won! So any user who has placed sufficient effort into improving this wiki that you have taken notice of, nominate them! Be sure to remember that previous winners can not be nominated again, and that a nominee may only be voted for once! Good luck!}}

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn

As of October 5th, Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn is officially released starting with the first episode! Which can be previewed on Halo Waypoint here: Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn - Episode 1

Halo 4: FUD (My abbreviation) is a Microsoft funded film written by the amazing people at 343i which follows the life of Hastati squad members at the Corbulo Academy of Military Science during 2526. Here the then-young Thomas Lasky is influenced by our beloved hero Master Chief during a military crisis, leading to his ascension to Commander on the UNSC Infinity where he will play a vital role in Halo 4!

This series is an unmissable glimpse into the early life of one of the main characters in Halo 4, so remember to watch each episode as they are released on the lead up to Halo 4's release. <Insert girly scream here/>
