Hello fellow Halo Wikians,

I have become increasing concerned over the declining state of our chat room over the past months. It is becoming a regular occurrence to see only 3-5 users in the chat during periods of the day where the chat was often populated with 15-20 users. As it is now summertime in the northern hemisphere with majority of our users now on summer vacation and with the build up to Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo 5: Guardians taking prescience, our chat room should be more full than ever. And yet ... it's not. I urge all our users to utilise the chat room more, as it's not only a great way to meet and greet fellow Halo fans who also frequent this wiki, but it's a great way to get help and advice on any Halo or wiki issues. Our administrators and moderators frequent the chat room regularly and find the chat room the best platform to gauge our community's thoughts and needs; and thus it's the best place to get help. Whilst our talk pages are an excellent way to get an administrator's attention, it can take time due to notifications requiring pages to be refreshed before they appear. The chat room however offers users the ability to ping an administrator or moderator by saying their name. This will create an audible ping which will notify the administrator or moderator that someone is beckoning for their attention, and will allow them to respond in a much more timely fashion than that of talk pages. If there are any issues preventing users from entering the chat please state so here, and I'll be happy to assist.

Kind regards, The Admin Team
