Dan Brown The Sacred Icon

An ancient cipher whose key is somewhere in High Charity.

A ruthless cult determined to protect it.

A frantic race to uncover the Covenant’s darkest secret.

THE SACRED ICON

When world-famous Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to the Step of Silence to analyse a mysterious geometric form – imprinted on a gold ring lying next to the disembowelled corpse of the dead Prophet of Mercy – he discovers evidence of the unthinkable: the resurgence of the ancient cult of the Governors of Contrition, a secret branch of the Covenant that has surfaced from the shadows to carry out its legendary vendetta against its mortal enemy, the UNSC.

Langdon's worst fears are confirmed when a messenger from the Governors of Contrition appears at the Prophets Sanctum to deliver a macabre ultimatum: Turn over the Master Chief, or one casket will disappear from the Mausoleum of the Arbiter every day. With only three days to foil their plot, Langdon joins forces with the lupine and charming daughter of the murdered Prophet of Mercy in a desperate bid to crack the code that will reveal the cult's secret plan.

Embarking on a frantic hunt, Langdon and his companion follow a 900-year-old trail through High Charity’s most historic libraries and sacred buildings, pursued by a Brute assassin the cult has sent to thwart them. What they discover threatens to expose a conspiracy that goes all the way back to the Prophet of Truth and the very founding of the Covenant.

I recently stumbled upon this site, a fantastic "Dan Brown Thriller/Mystery Generator," and, being the Halo fan that I am, was disappointed that I couldn't customise it as much as I'd like. So, naturally, I did my own version.

Note: I have not read any of Dan Brown's novels, and have only seen The DaVinci Code film, so please, don't take this as a knock at Mr. Brown. This is a parody, and intended as merely good fun.
