Hopefully not at my expense.
First of all, let me explain the situation to you. After far too long in the work force straight out of secondary level education, I am going to pursue tertiary studies - that's right, I'm off to university. I have enrolled in the University of Waikato, and will be pursuing a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English and History with a minor in Philosophy. Congratulations! Yay me!
What this means, however, is that I am going to be taking a bit of a hiatus. And since it will be interfering with any admin duties I still perform, I've notified my colleagues of my intent to resign. I plan to remove my Admin rights on the 23rd of February, the date I move into the University campus, and henceforth I will be merely a member.
It has been an honour and a privilege to be an Administrator on Halopedia. I have gained an understanding of life that would otherwise have passed me by, and my writing and knowledge processing skills have improved in leaps and bounds for it. It has taught me how to arbitrate disputes, the value of tact, of the need to explain incorrect actions rather than ban outright, the immense potential of conversation, and the fact that after all of this there are still idiots who refuse to give in until they're whacked in the face with a mallet. I may not have been the most active Admin, or the longest serving, or the most popular, but I hope that I was adequate.
This is not goodbye. This is merely a voluntary removal of authority as I take on an increased workload with less time. You may see me lurking on the recent edits log, and I might even pop into the IRC occasionally (something I am already known for not doing). But I shall do it as a regular member of the Halopedia community.
