Due to at least three of our ten admins being AFK, and several others visiting for a short amount of time per day (or in Dragonclaws case, a week), it has come upon my thoughts that we may need another administrator.
There is a gap in the timings the administrators are logged in...the night shift.
Although the use of Administrators operating in different time zones is, in theory, a good idea... some of the admins operate in a short amount of time, leaving a space between their logging out and another Admin logging in.
For instance, during Midnight GMT+0, only CommanderTony is online on the IRC. However, he is generally busy and fails to receive messages.
the 126.96.36.199 incident occurred right under his nose, even with people messaging him, he did not notice as he was busy playing Halo 2 Vista.
I propose that we elect another admin, the gap between shifts and the number of Admins AFK are two major reasons.
It seems like you're thinking of a loyal user who has leadership capabilities, who is online at any time of the day, but mostly on during "night" to most users and admins, who are asleep at that time. It doesn't necessarily have to be a user in a different timezone, but maybe a user who stays up all night *cough* and goes on Halopedia, and also monitors it for vandals and such, and is interested in community and leadership projects. If that's what you're thinking, I know a user fit for such a task... —Kougermasters 02:03, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- I agree, though I wasn't thinking of him... Besides, for various reasons, it isn't possible at the time for him to become an admin. —Kougermasters 06:00, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
