Well, at least they do it better than Star Wars or any other sci-fi where he lasers can be seen moving through the air. Red lasers have much less visible beams (you can see a 5mw green beam but not a 5mw red beam), so that just goes to show how powerful the Spartan laser is. However, looking at the termination point (the point where it hits) of a laser that powerful would instantly blind you. Additionally, shining the targeting laser (when you hold down the trigger) into someone's eyes would also blind them. So instead of simple destroying that vehicle, the Spartan Laser would destroy the vehicle and the eyes of anyone looking in its general direction. But of course, it doesn't, because bungie fails at laser physics.
