Welcome to BLEMO'S FAQ. This is the list of Frequently Asked Questions that are sent to Blemo at least twice or three times a month. Since many of you, especially new users, love to ask questions and make inquiries, Blemo decided to write them down here for future reference.

[edit] Do you have anything that I can contact you with?

Other than IRC or Freenode #halopedia, talk on Halopedia, or email, I don't think there is another way to contact me, unless I know you in person. My talk page is located on this link. You can also contact me on my XBL account, "Blemo 23". I don't normally give out my email address to anyone, unless they formally asked to give it, themselves. Don't know what IRC or Freenode is? If you look in the COMMUNITY BAR or the WIKIA BAR on the left side, you will see " Live Chat at #halopedia". IRC or Freenode is an online chat center where you can chat almost about anything related to a wikia. You will probably find me there. Can't find IRC? Click on this link to find the page. Just put in your username and scroll down to "#halopedia".

Halopedia is the best place to learn everything about the universe of Halo. The Halopedia community is powered by die-hard Halo fans. We live, breathe, and die Halo.

Welcome, new Halopedian.

First, it is essentially important that you read all of our policies. Before you begin contributing to Halopedia, please take our guidelines into heavy consideration. That way, your contributions can be as helpful to Halopedia and its community as possible.

Next, try and edit a page. If you are completely lost or are not looking for a particular page to edit, go to the Random section on our navigation bar on the left, and click "Page". It should take you to a random page, where you can start making your contributions to a newer and better Halopedia.

[edit] What is "IRC"?

IRC is Internet Chat Relay and it allows users to chat amongst themselves live via channels. There are two popular clients that carry IRC: Freenode or CGI:IRC, or mostly known as "Wikia Chat". Both clients are live chats and FREE OF CHARGE that all members (not banned) can access. CGI:IRC is more basic, while Freenode is more complex, but more likely recommended. Yes, there are more clients, for example, XChat, but those require you to download the software. However, just type your username in, make sure the drop bar says "#halopedia" and click "Connect". :) Voila! You're on chat with other users, live! =D

(Make sure you check the rules first at Halopedia: IRC Channel before joining).

[edit] How do I make my own Userboxes?

You can check out Help:Userboxes and they will show you the code to making one.
While making a userbox, make sure you keep track of:

Background color
Image
Text
Font color
Border Color
Color around Image

Example:

This user is an ally to Blemo.

[edit] How do I make my own Awards?

You can drop off a message here saying that you want to make an award. You'll have to give me the following:

Name of Award
Background Color
Border Color
Image
Text

BONUS: I can also create the template for this award.

Example:

This Halopedian has been awarded the Blemo Medal of Honor, an award given solely by Blemo. This user has been a best friend, a helper, or has been of assistance in his time of need.

[edit] How do I create subpages?

Create a page and name it accordingly to what you want to name it, for example, your subpage will be for Awards. So name it User:YOUR USERNAME/Awards.
Copy, paste, and type whatever it is you want on the subpage.

[edit] How do I make my own Custom Signatures?

Create a new page for the sig. Example: "User: YOUR USERNAME/Sig"
Put the code for the desired signature on the page.
Save the page and REMEMBER THE PAGENAME. Example: "User: YOUR USERNAME/Sig"
Go to your preferences and type {{Subst:User:YOUR USERNAME/Sig}} into the nickname bar and make sure to check the Raw Signatures option.

Below is an example of basic custom signature:

[[User:YOUR USERNAME|USERNAME OR NICKNAME]] [[Image:IMAGE YOU WANT|14px]] [[User talk:YOUR USERNAME|"TALK PAGE" OR "COMM" OR SOMETHING ELSE]][[Special:Contributions/YOUR USERNAME|"CONTRIBUTIONS" OR SOMETHING ELSE]]

However, if all does not work out, go to Help:Signatures, or feel free to ask me to make one for you of your liking!

[edit] How do I make Talk Archieves?

Make sure your talk page is at least 50 entries long and then come contact me about making a talk archieve. Give me the following:

Title of Archive (ex. Blemo's Talk Archive)
Image(ex: Blemo Logo)
Heading Color (optional, but without it, it's just black)
Name of Archieve Number (optional)
Type of "Message Bar"(optional)
Talk page you want to convert into an archieve

[edit] How can I display an article, forum, or user page without typing out the entire name?

Use {{PAGENAME}} on the note, template, etc. you are making. It will have the person's username on it after you click "Save page" on the Editing Page. The same thing can be done on an article or template.

[edit] What is an iUser?

An iUser is a profile, or page, that shows personal info on a user. A user can post images of themselves, post images of their car, their pet, their house, their parents, etc. You can post anything that you think other users will want to see. For security reasons, ask other people if you want their picture on an iUser. Maybe you can start an iUser!

[edit] How do I Create an iUser?

Here's the instructions. Creating an iUser can be easy, but pretty complicated for newer users.

Create a subpage with "User:YOUR USERNAME/iUser", or anything similiar, but it has to have your username on it.
Upload images of yourself, family, friends, possessions, what you think other users would want to see, etc. (NOTE: Ask your relative if it is okay to add their image on a worldwide site, first.)
Post the images on your iUser.
Try giving a caption to each image if desired.
After you think you are done with it, you are done with it and try to mention about your iUser for the other users to see. :)

[edit] I didn't find what I was looking for. Now what?

If you didn't find what you were looking for, which is highly likely since I tend to miss out on a lot of stuff, you can try checking Help:Contents for anything else, or clicking on a link to a help page below.
