Under Cover of Night is the 10th track in the Halo: Original Soundtrack. It also appears, albeit slightly changed, as Cloaked in Blackness in the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Original Soundtrack.

Appearances[]

It is heard in two levels of Halo: Combat Evolved, starting with The Truth and Reconciliation, as you make your way around the ridge but only as the player starts the gunfight and near the end of the level Two Betrayals, at the start of the Final Run chapter.

Other Appearances[]

It inspired In Amber Clad in the Halo 2: Original Soundtrack, was remade as part of Brutes, Roll Call, and Halo Reborn in the Halo 3: Original Soundtrack and Finale in the Halo 3: ODST Original Soundtrack.

It was also remade as the first part of Follow Our Brothers, heard during the last cut scene of Floodgate, and the second part of Delta Halo Suite, heard during the cutscene at the beginning of Regret.

It was also used in its original form in Halo Legends short film Homecoming, during the scene where Daisy-023 discovers her flash-clone.

Trivia[]

  • There's an Easter Egg in Halo 3 on the map High Ground where it's sometimes heard playing from the radio at the large base.
  • The voice that starts at 2:17 is actually Martin O'Donnell (the composer).
