UNSC Shield-Generator Ship

The UNSC Shield Generator Ship is a UNSC ship seen in the concept art of the Halo series. It was also seen in Electronic Gaming Monthly’s November 2002 issue and is described there as a city block sized transport that can carry tons of equipment and materials.
Halo Wars uses Pods that fill a similar role and function, lifting heavy machinery from an orbiting support ship to the planetary surface. The Vulture also closely resembles the Shield Ship. These may have been conceptually influenced by the Shield Ship.

UNSC Shield-Generator Ship is part of the Deleted Material cut from the Halo series.
When developing Halo: Combat Evolved, Bungie faced numerous prototypes during the pre-production and considered cutting down to a certain number of objects for the final bit of Halo: Combat Evolved.
As such, many aspects of the story such as vehicles, gameplay, design, and story elements didn't make it into the final version of Halo: Combat Evolved.
