The UNSC Port Stanley was an enhanced Corvette-class vessel manufactured specifically for the use of ONI Captain Serin Osman and her mission to maintain instability amongst the remaining Covenant species.[1]
Overview
The Port Stanley was equipped with a "Forerunner Enhanced" Shaw-Fujikawa translight drive, enabling her to cover a lot of space in a small amount of time. She was designed to be piloted by the AI Black Box and was as such, covered entirely in surveillance and sensory equipment, at first this raised privacy issues with the crew but they soon came to feel more at home and relaxed.
Although the Port Stanley was ill equipped for combat, she was perfectly manufactured for stealthy operations. Her entire hull was covered in a stealth coating and bristled with ELINT (Electronic Signals Intelligence) arrays. In keeping with her stealthy appearance, Port Stanley was equipped with an EMP Pulse generator for disabling ships should they be detected. This was put to good use by Black Box and the crew as they tracked the Jiralhanae ship Piety, which they managed to disable, neutralize and capture a Huragok from.
Port Stanley was given the newest Forerunner enhanced slipspace and communications allowing the ship to communicate even in slipspace. It also had clear metal on parts of the ship.
Trivia
This vessel is likely named after the capital of the Falkland Islands.
