As I was comparing armor variants in Halo 4 and 5, I realized that the H4 Pathfinder variant and the H5 Copperhead variant seem similar. They both feature a more streamlined style, with rounded/curved edges and smaller shoulder pauldrons. Also, both helmets have an almost inverted teardrop shape, rounded at the top and becoming tapered at the chin. The visors as well are similar in appearance, with a rounded triangle-like shape.
Then, if you look at the functionality, more similarities are apparent. Pathfinder is designed for "deep, unconventional deployment within unknown enemy territory and with little to no assisstance from Command." Copperhead is designed for "covert 'special activities'", which could easily encompass unconventional deployment in unknown territory, while it's "systems to exploit the complex 'terrain' of human and alien society" and "'militarized anthropology' decision support system" could easily support a Spartan operating in unknown enemy territory with no assistance from command in observing and interacting with beings in the field.
In short, it seems believable that Copperhead could be Watershed's successor for Pathfinder-Class MJOLNIR for the Spartans operating in such fields. Thoughts?
