Numbers alone don't win wars, and remember most of those worlds stayed their business out of the civil war then acted surprised and angered when some one losing and on the run when't to their planet to hide forcing them into the war.
The point of taking prisoners isn't just to get info from them, kidnap both solders and civilians of the enemy, enslave them, give them guns, and make them fight their own people. Its sick crule and wrong, but that's what it takes sometimes.
Each planet that has even 10 miles of it conquered can have a fort put on it, when forts are built every day life people who are trying to find somewhere safe will find the fort, live their protected by solders, get jobs so they aren't just moochy civilians, have families, the children grow up around solders, with a dream to be like them. I some times wonder if that's what forts are for.
Unggoy won't be outnumbered. The Clone Army is smaller than the Chinese Army. Plasma pistols can fire at around 360 rpm. That's faster than most blasters that we see in Star Wars. In addition to their average rate of fire, they are incredibly powerful. A single plasma pistol bolt is capable of overcoming a Sangheili's megajoule shielding, and fry his head. It can also take the head clean off of a Kig-Yar.
Needlers are just bad guns. They're deadly if the enemy gets too close, but, like you said, they have poor range.
Kig-Yar are decently strong. Their speed and size gives them more reach and agility than most combatants. A Kig-Yar could very well hold his own against a trandoshan or an unsuspecting Wookie. Also, game mechanics aren't canon. And Kig-Yar hardly need cover when they're deployed with portable shields.
I could counter this by saying that any Republic infantry would be mowed down by Covenant plasma cannons.

Which is highly unlikely. Republic fleets are smaller than Covenant fleets, and Republic warships fight at what the Covenant consider knife-fighting range. By the time a Venator gets close enough to fire its turbolasers, a CCS's energy projectors will have taken its bridge off.

The kig-yar on minor transgression were lead by brutes and brutes are fucking dumbasses(play halo 3 they were retards in that game besides the war chieftains and brute ultras with carbines).
From my experience with both series i say the covenant will win because one they have thousands of wars ships and billions of solders plus there range of there warships can destroy any republic ship from 1000 km away. Even tho the republic have Jedi they are not that powerful( 1 battalion of clones took out the Jedi temple) so the winner of the war haves to been the covenant empire

So what she planed to do was find a forerunner artifact and sell it, so that she can retire anyway, and become a mother. And since in Kig-yar coulter is is considered weak to ask other beings for help she took to plundering the ships the scanners clamed their was a artifact on and was confused to not find one. The humans thought this was the work of insurrectionists and set a pirate trap using a frigate called this end up that was carrying a surprise cargo, marines, and among them sargent Johnson. When minor transgressions boarded the bait ship the unggoy, who knew they where going to lose, fled with the hurogok in a life pod, while the Kig-yar when't into battle. Chur'R-yar told them to retreat, they did not, so her crew kept fighting with out her and Johnson managed to defeat them, then caught up with chur'R-yar onfoot, because he was a Spartan 1 and could, and shot her, she then charged her plasma pistol, and fired it into the methane refinery and blew up her ship and the bait ship both, intending to take her enemy with her. Johnson survived.
Dude we already discussed that in this fight the Republic would start enlisting soldiers in addition to the clone troopers. Even if they have a fast rate of fire blaster rifles fire more consistenly and have better capasities.

Those shields will not save them from grenades. Plus it still won't cover their entire body.
Yes ,but plasma cannons are only so deadly against republic infintary. After all that is only one major edge and its not like republic don't have blaster turrets.

I gotta go with the covenant on this. In the ground battle a scarab alone could make short work of any armor the Republic had. The wraith tank was more like moble artillery then an actual main battle tank. A Covenant super carrier would knock out any ship the Republic had. Elites versus clones, gotta go with elites and brutes.
Ok, I will have to counter that. Lets not forget that those clones had the element of surprise and that they were led by Anakin Skywalker. The attack was well planned out and the jedi were clueless. Most of the jedi died before they could even respond to the attacks. The equivalent would be if one battalion of marines led by Master Chief attacked a spartan training facility (with a few hundred spartans) that was unguarded and did not expect the attack.
Note: I believe a battalion in SW is 10,000 clones.
Ok well you guys put up a good arguement although Star Wars factions normally win I am convinced that the Covenant take this one due to scarabs and better ships.
