Tem'Bhetek was a San'Shyuum Prelate who lived during the Great Schism.
Biography
Tem'Bhetek was genetically altered to remove his required listing on the Roll of Celibates. After this he was introduced to Yalar'Otan'Elat, who he married and had a child with, though was not told the sex or name of the child to keep it a surprise when he was to return. The Great Schism occured shortly after the baby's birth. Commanding a Jiralhanae cruiser, he was away from the city when the Flood arrived on the UNSC In Amber Clad. When the Sangheili-led fleet controlled by the Shadow of Intent ordered all ships departing High Charity to be destroyed to prevent the infection spreading, Tem was ordered to lead the cruiser inside to rescue the Minister of Preparation, Boru'a'Neem. Upon Boru's arrival at the ship he was forced inside by Jiralhanae Honor Guards, and failed to rescue his family. Because of this, Tem despised all Sangheili, and Rtas 'Vadum especially for his family being unable to escape as, even if they had escaped the Flood they would still have died.[1]
