The Tarasque heavy fighter^[1] is an older Covenant Elite-manned starfighter. It was most likely replaced by the Seraph. It was first mentioned in the description of the Elite Flight Harness armor permutation. Despite the age of these craft, modern Elite flight harnesses are still equipped to interface with them.

TriviaEdit

• It appears to be named after the Tarasque, a legendary dragon from France. Most depictions of Tarasque show it with a vaguely turtle-like shell on its back. This may have been the reason for this Covenant ship's name as it is heavily armored like the Tarasque dragon.
• The Tarrasque's replacement by the Seraph is similar to it's Human analog, the Shortsword, being replaced by the Longsword as both craft had a similar function and their replacement vehicles are similar to each other.
