When is this mentioned? Maybe its just another remark about the MA5C...Marines often do that...- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 18:25, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

  1. As per above, two years ago. :P - 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 14:33, May 12, 2010 (UTC)
  2. Oppose Oppose - It's mentioned in the B.net weaponry update about the MA5C. I'm not sure if this should be deleted. Under-slung shotgun attachments also exist in the real world, and I doubt the Marine would just randomly make something like that up, especially considering how he also mentioned the forty mike mike which is an existing weapon. Then again, he could've just made that up out of the blue. Hard to say. I'd still say we keep it, considering how the Marine at least knows the weapon as a concept since he could come up with it. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 14:44, May 12, 2010 (UTC)
Totally unaware of Halo Wars' Grenade Launcher... :( - 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 14:47, May 12, 2010 (UTC)

This is probably a 'what if' situation: the marine is probably thinking that the only thing that would make the assault rifles better is if they had a shotgun or 40mm grenade launcher. Since they aren't available in-game, it's likely that it either isn't actually used or it is not used by the UNSC. Of course, a shotgun attachment would be favourable in a ship-board situation due to the low penetrating power of the shotgun, resulting in a lowered risk of penetrating the hull.

Of course, it could be not present game-wise for balancing/gameplay purposes. Spriggs077 Just Sayin' my Bit, Say Yours! 03:30, December 8, 2010 (UTC)

Also, the grenade launcher weapon option for the Warthog appears to be the standalone grenade launcher that appears in Halo: Reach, or at least an earlier varient. Spriggs077 Just Sayin' my Bit, Say Yours! 04:27, December 8, 2010 (UTC)
