When editing Gravesite, please check your facts. The video was released on October 9th, and as much as you want to believe October 1st was a typo and it came out on October 10th, please check your calender. It was available early in the afternoon in the United States EST, which means that it was definitely still October 9th in the United States and Europe. The video also does not confirm the death of Master Chief just as the last cutscene before the credits does not confirm the death of Master Chief. Spartans never die, and certainly when a body is never found. No matter what happens, always MIA. Read the books. Seriously. It's very probably that he could've stickied the Brute and ran anyway, everything else aside. This is the MC we're talking about. My personal understanding is that the events of Believe are intended to not interfere or affect the Halo storyline. The battle is a separate battle, and the sticky grenade and 'captured' Master Chief are just drama. This could have occurred between Halo 2 and 3, as the details are still sketchy pending the next work of fiction. --What I've tried to correct in the article is that they never said he died. He has never ever been said to be 'dead', not in the videos, not in the game. No one has seen him die, no one has found his body. The other side is also true, no one has seen him alive following the events in the Believe campaign, and following the events of Halo 3. But NOTHING says he is dead. A memorial is a memorial, not a funeral. They are more to honor the Chief and his triumphs than to mourn him. They can only guess he died, because he is completely out of contact with humanity.
