The Halo 4 Skulls are game-modifiers that are featured in Halo 4 with the appearance of a human skull. Similar to Halo: Reach, they are all available for use immediately upon starting Halo 4's campaign, and do not need to be hunted down in-game like in Halo 2, Halo 3, or Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.

|Tough Luck||Enemies always go berserk, always dive out of the way, and never flee.|
|Iron||Solo: Restart mission on death. Co-op: Back to previous checkpoint on death.|
|Thunderstorm||Major upgrade to the capabilities of enemies.|
|Cloud||Player's motion sensor is disabled.|
|Cowbell||Acceleration from explosions is increased.|
|IWHBYD||Rare combat dialogue becomes more common.|
|Grunt Birthday Party||A headshot on a Grunt results in a festive burst of confetti and a cheer.|
|Blind||The HUD and the first person arms and weapon are hidden.|
