Saeed Shafiq was a Rear Admiral in command of the UNSC Infinity in the post-Great War era.
He believed that despite humanity's technological advances with Forerunner reverse-engineered technology, little progress has been made in improving slipspace predictability - which could have saved the UNSC Ariadne and its crew. He is also aware of the UNSC Infinity's existence, as well as its complement of SPARTAN-IV personnel.[1] It is stated that he wanted engineers on every warship by 2557.
