The Sacred Promise was a CCS-class battlecruiser in the Covenant Navy.[1]
Operational History[]
During the Fall of Reach, the Sacred Promise was part of the Fleet of Particular Justice.[note 1] It sent a taunting message to the UNSC Pillar of Autumn, which was replied to by Cortana with her own message.[1]
Eventually, the Sacred Promise was damaged enough for the Captain to force the weapons to be taken offline. Sacred Promise attempted to get rear cover from the Devotion and fighter cover from Commitment and Patience. However, before either ship could move to help, Commitment and Patience was hit by a Kinetic Penetrator round which put the ship into an unrecoverable descent.[2]
As the Commitment and Patience ship started to fall, its main fuel cells erupted, destroying the ship. Its debris smashed into the Sacred Promise. This caused the Promise to then go into an uncontrollable fall into Reach's primary satellite, Csodaszarvas.[2]
