Prologue is the name of the first track of the Halo 2 soundtrack volume 2. It is played in the opening menus of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 and extends into the cutscene of The Heretic.

The second part of this song is heard during Ghosts of Reach, in the background, and the Halo 3 remake, Dread Intrusion. It is commonly referred to as "the Arbiter's theme" due to the fact it appears mostly in-game in the presence of Thel 'Vadam.
