Pipe

A Pipe for tobacco smoking is a human item, typically consisting of a small chamber (the bowl) for the combustion of the tobacco to be smoked and a thin stem (shank) that ends in a mouthpiece (the bit). Pipes can range from the very simple machine-made brier pipe to highly-prized handmade and artful implements created by renowned pipemakers which are often very expensive collector's items.^[1]

In the 26th Century, the popularity of pipes have long given way to cigarettes and cigars, with pipes generally regarded as antiques. The only known pipe observed in the Halo universe was a corncob pipe owned by Captain Jacob Keyes.^[2]

• Captain Keyes' pipe materialises magically when you first meet him on Halo:CE, then mysteriously disappears again.
• In the level "Keyes" you can see his pipe sticking out the bottom of his Flood brain form body.
