Perdition is a multiplayer map in Halo 4 . It is part of the Castle map pack which was released on April 8, 2013.[1]

DescriptionEdit

AN UNSTABLE THERMAL REACTOR GOES CRITICAL…

New Carthage has always been a shining example of a healthy, growing colony, but hidden below the sky-high city of Pilvros this dangerous secret: One of the reactors is failing, and the entire city is now under evacuation. This large urban and industrial environment offers an up-close-and-personal view of the stunning yet unstable reactor and provides multiple vehicles, long sightlines and close quarters combat, catering to nearly any gameplay style.

TriviaEdit

  • When looking out of the boundaries of the map, the player can clearly see multiple flying vehicles within the high rise traveling across the city. Putting in question why they are not evacuating the city despite there being a nuclear meltdown.
  • Advertisements for Traxus Heavy Industries and Vyrant Telecom can be seen on multiple signs outside of the map, behind the three colored gates. Use a scoped weapon to look over the gates and spot the advertisements.
    • In addition, some of those signs display "The FUTURE is..Now!.....", or "Look Out..For the Future!!". It is unclear what these signs mean, and if this could be an Easter Egg. It is also possible that this is the motto of the city Pilvros, where Perdition is based.
  • Fusion Coils, when placed on this map, appear to have the same substance in them that is in the reactor. Additionally, their explosions are re-textured and have the ability to disintegrate players, much like forerunner weapons.
