This article is about the Real World.

Matt Gradwohl received unspecified special thanks for general work on Halo: Combat Evolved. He has just recently finished on Halo 2 to Windows Vista.

He got started video games on the TRS80 at a friend's house, and a VIC-20 ,at the K-mart up the street. He soon graduated to a C64; that was 24 years ago. He earned a Computer Science degree and then, hired by Microsoft in 1994, and moved to games in 1995.

He started as the Test Lead of Microsoft Close Combat 1.0. "I've worked quite a few games from MGS in one form or another, and I'm having the most fun now. I still play games at home on Windows and Xbox 360, build my own gaming PCs, and write code occasionally."
