Mama is the name of an Artificial intelligence residing on the planet Cronkee. She protected a small group of humans living there, and lived in a crashed UNSC frigate. She was described by Cortana as being "happy".^[1]

It appears that Mama has been on this planet for quite a long time, at least as long as Guy and May have. Guy and May are well over seven years old. This raises the question as to why she is not rampant.
