The M12A1 Light Anti-Armor Vehicle,[1] abbreviated as M12A1 LAAV and commonly referred to as the Rocket Hog, is a UNSC ground vehicle. It is a variant of the M12 Force Application Vehicle and features a mounted 102mm SC-HE Rocket Turret.

SpecificationEdit

Design detailsEdit

The M12A1 LAAV is one of UNSC's few anti-armor vehicle, designed to quickly and efficiently defeat lightly armored vehicles. Unlike all other M12 variants, the M12A1 can be differentiated by its appearance; the M12A1 Rocket Warthog is painted in black and has yellow paint stripes lined through the base. Its seats are also yellow and its tires have a darker color tone than those of the standard Warthog.

ArmamentEdit

The M12A1 is equipped with a mounted 102mm SC-HE Rocket Turret which fires three 102mm rocket projectiles and requires four seconds to reload when the magazine was depleted.

FeaturedEdit

In the E3 2000 Halo: Combat Evolved trailer, the featured Warthog sported a cannon that fired missiles like the M12A1 cannon, but looked like Halo 2's M12G1 LAAV's Gauss Cannon.

AdvantagesEdit

The M12A1 Light Anti-Armour Vehicle is an easy vehicle to maneuver. That means it can easily dodge any allies. It is also very hard to flip. The M12A1 Light Anti-Armour Vehicle is equipped with rocket launchers that fire rockets with three rounds per magazine. This can easily take down any vehicles that are trying to chase the warthog.  However, one should note that the rockets travel slowly and may miss fast-moving targets altogether.
