Konar is a feudal province on Sanghelios, named after the Konar family who rule over it. Jora 'Konaree and Jun 'Konaree are two males from this family who volunteered to serve in the Covenant military during the Human-Covenant war.
History
The Grey Maiden of Konar is one such historical figure from this province. The sole surviving offspring of Konar's Kaidon, his death resulted in a succession crisis. With females not being allowed to own feudal land, a son-in-law was legally required for there to be a new Kaidon. With Lesser Kaidons and their sons fighting amongst themselves over who held the right to marry her and claim the land, the maiden locked herself away at the Konar Keep for years under siege.[1]
