Jeff

Jeff Steitzer

Jeff Steitzer is the multiplayer announcer in Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, Halo 4, and Halo 5: Guardians. He can be heard announcing events during multiplayer matches, such as when one team steals the other's flag, or when the game ends. The only competitive multiplayer experience he is not featured in is Warzone, in which Jennifer Hale (as SPARTAN Sarah Palmer) does the announcing.

He was born on November 28, 1951, in Deadwood, South Dakota. His career as an actor began in high school, and he has had a prolific career in theater, screen, and voiceover work since. He has been in such television shows as "The Fugitive" where he played the recurring role of Art Zimmerman. He has also been in the television series "Law & Order" and the video games Alien vs. Predator 2 and Close Combat III: Russian Front. He has worked on several occasions with fellow voice actor Todd Licea.

Trivia[]

  • It was said that Steitzer auditioned and was told he would play John-117, but was given the role of the multiplayer announcer.[1]
  • Despite having had a role in almost every Halo game, Steitzer has only played the game a few times at contests, and does not own an Xbox.
