The Hekar Taa-pattern fast interdictor,[3] also known as the Sangheili blockade runner,[4] is an ancient ship pattern of Sangheili origin.[2]

Class History[]

The Hekar Taa-pattern was in use by the Sangheili during the War of Beginnings. One such ship, the Joori's Light rebelled against the signing of the Writ of Union and escaped into uncharted space.[2]

Post-Human-Covenant war[]

It was employed as the primary ship of Jul 'Mdama's Covenant in 2558.[5] The Swords of Sanghelios as well utilized the ship in late 2558.[3]

Jul 'Mdama's Covenant would use several against Created forces during the Battle of Kamchatka.[6] Both Jul 'Mdama's forces and the Swords of Sanghelios used the Hekar Taa-pattern in the climactic Battle of Sunaion.[7]

Design[]

The ship features stealth generators, though the way they generate the stealth is different than 26th-century ships. It's achieved through brute-force jamming and the usage of smaller drones.[3]

Notes[]

  1. Purity of Spirit was previously confirmed to be a CCS-class battlecruiser, and only appeared as a Blockade Runner in War Games simulations.
  2. It being the sister ship of Purity of Spirit, we can deduce that they are both the same class. As such, its representation as a Blockade Runner is simply down to changes in the simulation.
