While newcomers and recruits to the UNSC of Halopedia are automatically enlisted as Privates, work on UNSC-related articles and other contributions can lead to promotions to higher ranks. Recently, the ranking system has been revised to Relentless's Proposal; a ranking system based on Halo 3 multiplayer ranks. Contributions will be evaluated by the Command Staff of the UNSCOH, and promotions between ranks may be granted solely upon the decision of the Command Staff, say from Private to Corporal. However, users may graduate in grade within a rank independent of any decision by the Command Staff by accumulating mainspace edits; for example, a Private is automatically promoted to Private Grade Two upon reaching 15 article edits. This allows for sub-promotions amongst UNSCOH members without a direct promotion filed by the Command Staff. Article edits can be checked with the Editcount extension.

Service Medals

The UNSC of Halopedia Service Medals are a group of awards given out by the UoH to recognize superior achievements by individual users for singular actions or sustained actions of devotion to the cause of the UNSC of Halopedia. These medals are honorably given to members of the UoH either through nomination or achievement.

General

The five members of the Command Staff are Generals of the UNSC of Halopedia. Under the character of the UNSC of Halopedia, each General is elected by the community, and each serves a term of two months before the next term's elections, where each General may continue Generalship or be replaced. Generals are granted solely every two months by community decision, and can not be promoted through the regular ranking system.

Colonel is the highest attainable non-elected rank of the UNSC of Halopedia. These users serve as exemplars for other UNSC members to follow in their path to success and excellence.
