The Halopedia governing committee has sat down and after hours of consultation with lawyers and our third party advisors has come with a plan of action regarding FanArt. While initially striving to erase all fan art from Halopedia members have made valid points about some of the Images adding value to articles.
Therefore a FanArt judgment committee will be created to judge whether or not a Fan created image can stay on an article's page or not.
The committee will be made up of FIVE members (Odd number to avoid ties) two of which will be admins (Dragonclaws and Ed) and have permanent seats. The other three seats will be elected every 3 months as part of a rotating system. Committee members can be reelected and serve as many terms as like as long as they have the votes. Voting will be done on the Halopedia Talk:FanArt Committee page.
When the committee has been decided they will be called upon to vote on disputed FanArt Images. If someone disputes an Image they will call a vote on the Talk:Main Page and the committee members will each add their vote on whether to keep or delete the image from the article. The final vote will be tallied and the image's fate decided.

If a committee member is absent for more than a month, or refuses to make a ruling for a month he or she will lose their seat. This only applies to the non-admin members. If a committee member is found to be MIA a new vote will be called and the winner will replace the missing committee member. The replacement will not serve out a full three month term but just the remaining time left until the next election.
[edit] Stepping Down
If a committee member has to leave and is unable to attend to their duties a snap election to replace the member will be held upon the member's departure announcement. The election will last one week or seven days with the winner being the user with the most votes.
