The Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta will be a phase of development of Halo 5: Guardians. It will take place from December 29, 2014 to January 18, 2015, and will be accessible through Halo: The Master Chief Collection.[1][2]
The beta will only be a small segment of Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer and will focus on 4 vs. 4 arena gameplay with equal starts, meaning no loadouts.[2] The beta will also feature all-new Spartan abilities, which are base player mechanics like dual-wielding or boarding.[3][4][5]
Players can provide feedback on the beta through the Halo Channel.[2]

Trivia
- 343 Industries is making the beta very early in the game's development so that they can make actual changes to the gameplay, such as weapon tuning and movement speed, before its release.[6]
