Gunnery Sergeant (Halo 3)

Gunnery Sergeant is a Halo 3 Xbox Live multiplayer rank.

Gunnery Sergeant is the rank above a Sergeant, but below a Lieutenant. You may skip Grade 3 and move on to Lieutenant Grade 1 if you have at least highest skill 10. Grade 1 is represented by 4 gold chevrons. Grade 2 has a gold pip directly underneath the gold chevrons. Grade 3 has another gold pip directly underneath the previous pip. Grade 4 has three gold pips that are aligned directly underneath the chevrons to form a rough, overturned chevron.

Gunnery Sergeant Grade 4 is also known as Master Sergeant. This rank, along with First Lieutenant, Staff Captain, and sometimes Field Major, is ridiculed due to the fact that most players can at least achieve a skill level of 10, if not more.

  • Grade 1 requires 50 EXP to attain
  • Grade 2 requires 60 EXP to attain
  • Grade 3 requires 150 EXP to attain
  • Grade 4 requires 300 EXP to attain
• Individual Ranks
  • Grade 1 requires 25 EXP to attain
  • Grade 2 requires 30 EXP to attain
  • Grade 3 requires 35 EXP to attain
  • Grade 4 requires 40 EXP to attain
