General of the Army is the highest commissioned officer rank of the UNSC Army, and can be also known as "Supreme Commander" (not to be confused with the Sangheili Supreme Commander) or "General of the Armed Forces", although promotion to this rank is restricted to times of war. It is equal in rank to Fleet Admiral in the UNSC Navy.
Personnel of this rank command major areas of responsibility and hold some of the highest of military positions in the UNSC Defense Force.[1]
