Fleet Master Chief Petty Officer (FLTCM) is an E-9 rank in the UNSC Navy, and is equal to Force Master Chief Petty Officer. It is directly above Command Master Chief Petty Officer and below Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy. It is equal to Sergeant Major in the UNSC Marine Corps, Command Sergeant Major in the UNSC Army, and Command Chief Master Sergeant in the UNSC Air Force.
A FLTCM is the chief NCO of a fleet, though a larger one than would have a CMC. He/she is responsible for all enlisted personnel in the fleet and represents them to the fleet's commander.
