The Hailstorm owes much to a pre-Covenant weapon used during the volatile early-interstellar period of Sangheili history. Improved Needler which fires fast-moving crystal shards that exhibit strong homing behavior.

Hailstorm is a special variant of the Type-56 Guided Munitions Launcher.

Hailstorm is available for use in Warzone. It can be acquired by REQ Packs and has an Uncommon level of rarity.

Changes from the Type-56 Needler

• Projectiles are faster.
• Stronger homing behavior.
• Magazine holds 33 rounds, instead of 22.
