Conversion Mural

The Arbiter stands in front of two murals. The rightmost one depicts the Age of Conversion.

The Age of Conversion is theorized to be the time that the Sangheili and the San'Shyuum began incorporating other races into the Covenant, either through conquest or religious conversion. During the Age of Conversion, the Lekgolo resisted conquest more strongly than the other races, which resulted in the creation of an Arbiter to help conquer them in the conflict known as the Taming of the Lekgolo.

Like the Mgalekgolo, most races were conquered, although in different ways. The Unggoy and Yanme'e, like the Mgalekgolo, were enslaved, while the Kig-Yar joined because the Prophets paid them. The Jiralhanae were conquered too, but adapted to the Covenant Religion rather quickly.

Progression of the Ages[]

During the Progression of the Ages, an appropriate dialogue is as followed:[1]

Leader, or Chieftain: Conversion.
Congregation, or Pack: Fifth! Obedience and freedom!

Representation[]

The Age of Conversion is represented by an unknown mineral.[1]
