Loadouts in Halo: Spartan Assault allow the player to upgrade his equipment before starting a mission. Loadout upgrades can be purchased using either XP earned from completing missions or with CR purchased from microtransactions. Unlocking certain achievements in Halo 4 provides the player with a free use of a particular upgrade.
Upgrades purchased will only be active until the mission is completed, failed, or abandoned. To use the upgrades again, they must be purchased again.

Trivia[]
- A player can reuse the same upgrade over and over again without repurchasing it by restarting the mission instead of completing, failing, or abandoning it.
