An Emergency Military is one of the major military organization types and usually defines the entire aspect of a nations' military force from militia to Navy. It is often confused with miliary rule which is permanent. The term of "Emergency Military" refers to an emergency operational force in case of a major invasion, crisis or unrest of indigenous populations.

An Emergency Military consists of several subdivisions such as Militia, Marine Corps, Army, Navy and Air Force.
The United Nations Space Command is a known Emergency Military which has become almost dedicated to defending its colonies from the Covenant threat. It consists of Colonial Militia, UNSC Marine Corps, UNSC Army, UNSC Navy, and UNSC Air Force.
