[edit] Halo Player
Dead or Alive 4 features a playable unlockable character inspired from the Halo series. The November 2005 issue of Game Informer revealed that this character is a female Spartan supersoldier, going by the name Spartan-458. It would later be revealed that her real name would be "Nicole". In conjunction, a Halo-themed stage named Nassau Station is incorporated in the game. Bungie and Team Ninja called the operation of putting a Halo character and stage into Dead or Alive 4; "Slugfest".[1]
[edit] Trivia
- The final boss, Alpha, has the sound animation of a Wraith boosting when she attacks.
- On the level "Gamblers Paradise" which is set on the road outside of a casino, traffic goes past and can hit and damage players. Occasionally a Warthog will go past with three marines riding in it (a gunner, a driver and a passenger).
- The character Bayman has a move called 'Gravity Hammer' and another move called 'Sidewinder'. These could possibly be references to Halo.
- The Hayabusa helmet is based on Ryu Hayabusa's (also the armors namesake) headwear.
