Corbulo Academy of Military Science or CAMS is a military officer training acadamy for the United Nations Space Command located on Circinius IV. Corbulo Academy trains children of high-ranking UNSC officers for careers across all the UNSC. The academy was named after the Roman general Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo with a statue of his likeness depicted in the Academy's courtyard.^[1] An Orbital Elevator was in the middle of the academy.

Additionally students honor Corbulo by exclaiming 'Axios!'^[1] , meaning "I am worthy" in Greek. These were Corbulo's last words as he intentionally fell upon his own sword by order of Emperor Nero, who had ordered Corbulo to kill himself to prove his loyalty to the Roman Empire.

Human-Covenant War

The Academy was attacked by Covenant forces mid 2526.^[2] This attack came by surprise, catching local forces unprepared and unaware of the Covenant's existance. With the aid of Spartan John-117 those cadets still alive were able disperse into the surrounding jungle until evacuation could be secured.

The approximate date of the attack, and surprise of cadets upon seeing Covenant forces indicate this was one of the first skirmishes of the war after Harvest. The academy staff and students were almost completly annihilated.
