Captain (Halo 3)

Captain is a Halo 3 Xbox Live multiplayer rank.[1]

Captain is greater in rank than a Lieutenant, but is less than a Major.
The Captain ranks require at least a highest skill of 20 to reach, however, you may skip Grade 3 and move on to Major Grade 1 if your highest skill is at least 30. Its rank insignia is a two silver enamel bars with a small diamond cutout in the center of each. Subsequent grades in rank are represented by thin rectangular tabs underneath the silver bars, and the number of tabs corresponding with the number of grades one is higher than Grade One. Reaching Grade 4 not only shows three thin bars below the enamel bars, but they will also be golden, representing the highest grade in that rank set.
Captain Grade 4 is also known as Staff Captain.

Global Ranks
- Grade 1 requires 100 EXP to attain
- Grade 2 requires 150 EXP to attain
- Grade 3 requires 300 EXP to attain
- Grade 4 requires 600 EXP to attain
Individual Ranks
- Grade 1 requires 100 EXP to attain
- Grade 2 requires 110 EXP to attain
- Grade 3 requires 120 EXP to attain
- Grade 4 requires 135 EXP to attain
