I like Halo and absolutely LOVE!!!!!! 24 it is excellent!!!!! I like Torchwood as well. I first came across Halo when I was watching TV and saw the commercials. I came across 24 when flicking through channels on TV and 24 was coming on for the first time so I watched it, liked it and followed it ever since. Soon I hope to join the US Army [took me ages to decide between Army and Marine Corps] and make a living by ensuring Planet Earth stays safe from terrorists and the sort. And before anyone says anything I have not been playing to much Call of Duty 4. Please do not vandalise any of my blogs and the sort. Many times a day I think to myself "Dylan what kind of world do we I live in? Sure I have got a great girlfriend, a nice house and a great area to live in. But what about in the whole world? Thousands of people die every day just for one thing that all terrorists want. Money."

People disrespecting the Admins

Lately I've been noticing that people have been quite rude and a bit "attacky" [came up with that myself] towards the Admins and Veterans of Halopedia. I know I'm still a bit new here but I reckon that these members are pushing it a bit. So Admins... what do you think?

And what the hell is so bad with that? That part was the good part. The bad part was when Manticore banned SR. Wich would not have been such a big deal if SR did not protest his ban. But even if what Manticore did was so bad I think he has changed. He is a very good admin. He bans bad users ans cleans up spam. I think now he is doing better. But in my oppinon Specops306 is the best admin.

People feel an instinctive need to rant against something. And for Halopedia, that means that people take out their frustrations on the Admins or, in some cases, the people they only think are admins.

I disagree, it's actually visa versa...

Only a select amount of Admins have treated me, a newcomer to Halopedia, with the appropriate respect, that comprises Dragonclaws and SpecOps306 (Aware they you aren't of Admin status yet, but you have the rep for it)

Then another has berated me for the simplest of questions, telling me off for the worse...I did not want to send a retribution message in fear of a ban, so here I am tetchy for their greater powers some use to rebuke the raw recruits comin' in and registering

To Commander Tony, sir, you must realize that part of becoming a admin requires you "welcome" newer members. Does insulting them and calling them a n00b "welcome" them? I was myself called a n00b by Manticore before when he moved my userpage, something that I didn't even want. If you take that attitude to newer members, with disdain that is, then you don't deserve an admin status. Not to you, Commander Tony, but to everyone. I recognize your splendid behavour, but to others similar to Manticore, may this be a warning..

And an additional note, sir, that a noob is one who does not exceed the rank of new even after enough time. If someone just joined and made a mistake, even impolitely, should be called "newbe", not noob. So, even if you are determined to insult people , do it right!

Commander Tony no offense but give newbies (new people) a chance you are sometimes a little harsh even though you seem like a nice guy with older people. Maybe you've seen too many spammers or noobs and your tired of it like most of us. But not all people making spam are noobs some just don't know.

I respect them, that doesn't mean I agree with everything they say, do, or think. I agree with Skiller, admins do bash other users for questions, or no apparent reason. Well some admins....(TONY)

If they've had a long day, and you know, are stressed, it is understandable they might snap at some people. It's human nature. Unavoidable. It's actually attacking people that is really bad.

Now what I'd love, is one who would immediately apologize after snapping. That would be very impressive.

Well... of course he has. They all have. Sure. But:

Any person has what it takes to delete the trash and the unwanted pages here. Anyone can ban a person, and manage a wiki. It really doesn't take all that much. However, it takes a special kind of person, a rare one, to hold this power, and refuse to abuse it. That people, is called "integrity," and with it comes "character." Ah character, now that is what all our admins should be made of.

RR has character. He has never once sent me a message or email with any insults, attacks, ect.

CT has character. For the most part, he's fair with people, and he is forgiving.

I don't know GPT or our new admin, Halodude, but hopefully, they too have integrity and character in them.

And then there comes the other one... Manticore. That, is a whole 'nother... literally speaking.

But all that aside, you cannot really say "but look at all the good stuff he's done. It outweighs him attacking innocents." Why? Well, if a politician in Congress, lets say, cracks down on crime and fraud and illegal companies... and has done all this good, when it turns out he accepted a bribe, or did something illegal, he is thrown out. Why? Because anyone can crackk down on crime and fraud and illegal companies. Anyone can. But it takes that rare character to avoid the temptations that come with such power.

With the availability of power, comes the responsibility of power. Never forget that.

It's not Commander Tony who has the enemies-it's Manticore. Trust me, Halo and 24 Fan, if you knew half the things Manticore's done, you would realize what tranny is going on. We are not merely trying to pick problems or even radically change the wiki, but to stop someone's rampage before it goes too far and turns ugly...
