I don't get all this bull about 'Manticore' being corrupt, in fact, how can he be corrupt? if he's so corrupt then why is he still helping this wiki? When him and Tony created the new points system tons of people where outraged, but as time went on you found it to be for the greater good. Sure that he's done some things that look suspicious but they didn't harm us, he saved Halopedia by deleting 'To the Republic...of Halopedia!!!' which would have rocked this wiki's foundation of stability thus possibly causing a 'Halopedian Rebellion' (im looking at you star wars) and by watching most of his actions I have found that his so called "corrupt actions' is for the greater good. So tell me, how the hell is he corrupt?

It's the fact that he isn't nice about it when he deletes stuff, not necessarily always what he does in the first place. Sometimes he forgets to give warnings too. But other than that, I do see that he does quite a bit to care for this wiki.

Yes, that's pretty much what I said, although sarcasm isn't always the best way to explain why someone got banned, or a userpage deleted.

Hmm.

I tend to respect those who display respect to myself and others.

"You irritate me, and you do not work here, so feel free to ((F-word)) right off."

That isn't what I'd call respectful. That... is what I'd call a personal attack, assault, rudeness, and conduct unbecoming of a proper admin.

Can't help advertising for unofficial Halo groups. Tut tut tut...

Response: We have nothing but respect for Manticore's early actions, and he has contributed positively to the wiki before. His recent actions, however, are somewhat questionable and it is those that are causing problems. His aggressive attitude towards what are often innocent mistakes, harsh bans for said mistakes, and willingness to bend and break the rules are causing problems.

To take a leaf from your idol's book, [Citation needed]].

Based on what I saw, most users other than a few oddballs like you were calmly discussing the issue until Manticore stepped in with an insulting comment. Got a time machine? If not, don't make unverified claims.

The evidence in question can be found in Manticore's ban and deletion logs, and will be reposted for the consumption of the community soon for those unwilling or unable to find it.

Speaking for myself, I feel that he isn't corrupt, just somewhat overzealous and vindicative. In addition, his defiance of community guidelines is troubling.

"Rocked this wiki's foundation"

Now that made me laugh. Heh heh heh

That's good. I'll have to remember that one. I'll tell you what. To be candid, show me proof that I or anyone actually said "I want to destroy this wiki." or "I want to rebel." What's the matter? Oh! You can't! Well, big surprise. Please do not lie. That is called: not nice.

You want to know how he's corrupt? Well, to be candid, first, let's define corrupt: "Marked by immorality and perversion; dishonest." Well, he attacks a lot of users. Especially those who say he's harsh, or question his actions. When he insults someone, and that person asks for an apology, he finds it smart to attack them instead. God forbid he should give people warnings. This one user, Nathan1111, added information from a Wikipedia page about Halo, to a Halopedia page. This guy was a new member, and didn't know what he was doing. So, what did Manticore do? Well he reverted the edit in 2 seconds, and then blocked Nathan1111. Point: He isn't just corrupt, he's excessively extreme in punishments. N1111 deserved a warning.

Oh and don't worry. There's plenty of other stuff. I don't want to shoot off the load though. If you want, try researching the logs.

Careful with "For the greater good." People can really be offended by that 'cause in the past, those they have known were lost "for the greater good." It also sounds like "the ends justify the means," which really isn't a good thing to say.

That is a good question. Why is he still on the wiki? By rights, he shouldn't be. So why is he? He has too much power. Not only is he an admin, he's a janitor. Rooted in like a tough weed.

Oh, and the points had nothing to do with it. In fact, I came here after that incident.

"But they didnt harm us." Well, close. More like, they didn't harm you. But they did harm others. It's not nice to log on one day and read "You irritate me, and you do not work here, so feel free to ((F-Word))right off!" In fact, that would be considered a legitimate attack by most people. Unfortunetly, Manticore, like the super-rich, is above the law.

Hmm. It seems to me like you don't really know the whole story. See, you've got Manticore's side with his damage control in place. But you don't have mine. So, if you'd like my side before you say something really bad, I candidly invite you to email me at steelrainusmc@gmail.com and ask.

He can be very inconsiderate, which makes it hard for some people to respect him. I don't know him personaly so I can't say what kind of person he is, but he strikes me as constantly fed up with everything to the point of being intolerent of the slightest wrong. Simply put, frustrated and angry. He has done some good things, but as a leader he should also pay attention to how he treats the people he is in charge of, if he wants their admiration.

Hmm. That sounds about right sir.

One major flaw with Manticore is that he'd short-tempered, and impatient. I think if he really tried, he could become a better admin by being more considerate and by being more patient with the inexpierienced. I he really wanted to change for the better, he'd even apologize to those he's hurt.

But see, that's just it.

He hasn't done this once or twice. According to CT, he's has a history of abuse, especially to new users.

That is not how an admin should act. And he has attacked me. If any other user here told me to F off like that, they'd be banned, wouldn't they? But if an admin does it, for no reason at all, what happens to him? Apparently, nothing.

That's why I'm a little concerned about all this. Why should he attack someone, and then get away with it? In the free world, if a powerful official does something bad, he gets nailed to the shed for it. In a dictatorship, if the dictator does something immoral, he laughs his ass off and gets away with it. I find that disgusting.

SR, loathes injustice.

Yeah, your proximity from that agressive individual... should be similar to that of a 95 pound adult Pit Bull: FAR AWAY!

Seriously, I asked him for an apology after he insulted me, and instead of being decent and apologizing, he instead decided to attack with: "You irritate me, and you do not work here, so feel free to ((F-WORD)) right off," deleted my work, and blocked me.

Now I don't know where he cam from, but the way I grew up, I learned that is not how you apologize to someone.
