Basketball is a team sport in which two teams of five players try to score points by throwing or "shooting" a ball through the top of a basketball hoop while following a set of rules.
Sometime after the Battle of Arcadia, a UNSC Marine including Meadows and Stephens challenged Spartan Red Team to a game of basketball. However, a verbal confrontation between Meadows and Douglas-042 resulted in three of the Marines suffering serious injuries. The squad's commanding officer did not blame the Spartans, instead putting the blame on himself.[1]
